Now that I have the lawyer working on submitting the startup forms necessary, I am researching other aspects I want to check out, which should help me save money in the long run.
For retirement should I get a 401k? SIMPLE-IRA?
I’m not really sure what is best at this point. As I was talking with the lawyer previously, he mentioned that he just has an IRA (I think he said SIMPLE-IRA) for retirement. He also said that the 401k is generally geared towards bigger businesses and there are quite a few fees involved as well. I don’t know if that is the case with a Fidelity self-employed 401k, but I’ll have to look into it.
So once I come to this point in the process (quite a while from now), I will have to do some research to see what type of retirement plan is best.
– Tax deductible funding of the account.
– A safe investment.
– Cost effective from a fee aspect.
